Ruth's photographic journey has been eclectic. As a journalist she began with editorial shots covering a wide variety of topics - news, sports, features, events. As editor of community newspapers she was responsible for the taking of photographs, film development as well as page layout.
Her passion for art photography blossomed during her many travels where she was inspired by landscape and architecture.
Eventually, she was commissioned by friends and corporations to shoot portraits and other artistic subjects.
Whether it is an engagement, wedding, milestone party or intimate portraits Ruth works closely with subjects to make sessions fun and comfortable producing beautiful images that capture the emotion.
